Hi friends
(Sorry, I have to write in english)
I need help again from this forum.  Question
My HC2 is 16 months old, and it has been working fine, with no issue. From a month ago my HC2 is lossing internet nearly every day. It losses internet connection, I receive an e-mail with the out of connection; but if I ping the IP address from LAN, it is replying ok 100% of the times.
It is as if HC2 had a routing problem, or if HC2 couldn't connect to myfox servers. Only if I reconnect RJ45 cable, unpluging it and pluging again, it works again after several seconds. I have changed the cable too, but the same. And the cable is not the problem, because as I said before, ping is working on LAN.
If I log in to myfox website, I confirm that website is with no connection to my HC2.
Is it a problem from my HC2? Anybody else?
I am going to open an issue with myfox support too; let's see if I have some luck.  Rolling Eyes

Hi josemi,

Can you check that your Internet connection is stable? With certain DHCP server HC2 is unable to renew its DHCP lease, the solution maybe to:
  1. reconnect Ethernet cable,
  2. affect a static lease to the HC2,
  3. insert a network switch with DHCP feature between the HC2 and the Internet box,


Myself I am using a static lease on my Internet box and all is working fine.

I do not know why I knew that you was going to answer to me before myfox official support...
I have a static lease (by mac address) from router to HC2. I have just configured more time for the lease (from 1 day to 8 days). I will watch how the loss of internet connection will be in 8 days, it will confirm that.
I could understand that it could have got problems with the lease, but I do not understand why in LAN the HC2 is always replying from ping. The only thing it may be is that the lease is working, but NAT from that IP to Internet not.
Other devices at home are always working fine: TV, bluray, phones, tablets, etc.
If it keeps lossing internet access, I will deactivate lease or I will change DHCP to other router as you said.

I connected myfox central unit to a switch between myfox central unit and router (as it was before two months), and it has been working for 3 days in a row.
I think that I am not going to have any problem again.
Bizarre router...
